Description
It is written in powerful calligraphic script the auspicious symbol has been boldly brushed onto a colored ink on silk scroll painting which has been beautifully designed with a pattern of scrolling ruyi clouds which are also representative of longevity. The imperial heritage of this painting is unmistakable with the large seal mark cut in archaistic characters bearing the reign title of the Yongzheng Emperor. Imperial paintings such as this beautiful example were given by the Imperial court to family members and high-ranking officials as auspicious gifts for celebratory occasions.
